”AKVO”
is a short experimental film approaching water as the carrier of historical memories and tales of social struggles. The film connects footage of Rotterdam’s Maas river with a myriad of narratives that include political sci-fi, Afro-futuristic myths and snippets from the news. The film functions as an assemblage of different voices and an attempt to understand the role that water plays in our collective histories.
