Helena Łomnicka is a writer and researcher focusing on contemporary spirituality and its entanglements with modern culture and politics. Having background in cultural analysis and an MA in the History of Esotericism, she investigates the ways in which spiritual and political imaginaries influence and co-produce one another. Her recent work has focused on neo-Marxist perspectives on spirituality and the analysis of modern esoteric discourse in digital culture. She has lectured on these and related topics at institutions such as Willem de Kooning Academy [2022], Garage Rotterdam [2024], and Post-Office Amsterdam [2025], while her visual work has been featured during events such as Occulture Conference Berlin [2025] or the Hermetic Film Festival Venice [2025]. Through mixing academic research with artistic and esoteric practice, she seeks to spotlight the alternative forms of knowledge and to explore the ongoing significance of belief, myth, and magic in the modern world.
